Good news for BEA shareholders obviously, the board did a great job raising the purchase price some $2.50 from the previous offer of $17.00 but in the fast changing world of IT there are always other industry events going on, two which caught my attention that will likely have even more impact now I guess I am an Oracle employee: Sun acquires MySql bringing them in direct competition in the database market with Oracle. My take is that is a great move for Sun lets just hope they do a better
